Huge thanks to Konstantin Nakaznyy! Luke’s website got a super-nice overhaul and lots of sweet new images and features all of which were completed by Konstantin in the last few weeks. One thing we are most pleased about is the new header and the new remastered photo of Luke that appear at the top of every page.

It is impossible to describe the awe I experienced when I understood how complex the social networking world has become – for electronic dance music producers and otherwise. When I was in college studying marketing and finance, I wasn’t told that I would have to be on Facebook to survive. Nor was I told that… in case I ever decide to become a music producer or a DJ, I would have to kill myself over building a Twitter account and link it to my Facebook fan page in such a way that my Tweets would appear on my timeline properly, making sure that they show the featured image correctly from the blog posts on my WordPress website. Really? All this before I become the next Paul van Dyk or Coone? WTF?….

So, my website about Electronic Dance Music is up and people can go there… that is, if I gave them a business card. Other than that, no one will know that I am an aspiring EDM producer. What now? Well, I have 2 choices: I can do nothing (like so many talented EDM producers do!) and hope that God will help me get Google rankings because I am cool, or I can roll up my sleeves and understand the inner workings of the worldwide web. I chose the second method….
Very well, ADE 2012 has wrapped up, and I had a wonderful time: I attended several excellent talk panels with EDM industry’s gurus. I hung out with Carl Cox. I interviewed the director of music for Last.fm Chris Price. I chilled with Danny Tenaglia, Armin van Buuren, Paul Oakenfold, Laidback Luke….
Day 4 of the ADE 2012 (Amsterdam Dance Event) was as good as the other three: I learned a lot, I got motivated, I met cool people, and I partied. Again, I wish I had the time to upload all the video materials, but that takes a little bit of time because publishing them is a long and CPU-consuming and bandwidth-killing process. I have well over 10 videos all in all, and all of them will be published in the next 7 days – immediately upon my return to the USA. And this is why I say that ADE 2012 may be over soon, but fresh content will be coming up on BPMstr.com for at least a couple of weeks afterwards…..
