BPMstr has a favorite music style: FuseRave
Why I Call My Favorite Music Style FuseRave
Someone asked me, “Dude, what style of music do you produce?” The simple answer is: I call my style of music FuseRave, or Fuse-Rave (also can be spelled as two words “Fuse Rave”), because I believe the combination of words ‘fuse’ and ‘rave’ accurately conveys the emotions that my music is intended to evoke – the ‘fuse’ part is about using a broad range of energetic and inspiring dance styles freely within any song/track, and the ‘rave’ part is about fun and enjoyment.
Interchangeably, my style can also called FuseStep – also can be spelled “Fuse Step” or “Fuse-Step” – because it contains many elements of dubstep, which is one of my favorite EDM styles.
A slightly longer answer to the question about my music styles would be this: I believe that tempo – or BPM, which is Beats Per Minute – is the defining force in dance music (that’s why I call myself BPMstr… or BPMster if you’d like “to buy a vowel”). You may notice that many of my songs have remixes where tempo changes in the middle of the track: I often bump it up or down by 5-10 BPM, which is always exciting, challenging and energizing for the listener. This approach makes it easy for me to drive tunes directly from my heart onto the music canvas, with no limitations imposed by a method or a structure/system designed to separate one type or class or style of music from another for any quantifiable reasons (marketing, monetization, commercialization, etc.). Dance music needs to inspire, and the hope to inspire my listeners is what drives me forward every day.
