ADE 2012 DAY 4: More to come

Day 4 of the ADE 2012 (Amsterdam Dance Event) was as good as the other three: I learned a lot, I got motivated, I met cool people, and I partied. Again, I wish I had the time to upload all the video materials, but that takes a little bit of time because publishing them is a long and CPU-consuming and bandwidth-killing process. I have well over 10 videos all in all, and all of them will be published in the next 7 days – immediately upon my return to the USA. And this is why I say that ADE 2012 may be over soon, but fresh content will be coming up on BPMstr.com for at least a couple of weeks afterwards…..

Highlights: Day 4 ADE 2012 (Amsterdam Dance Event)

The Halloween Attractions | I didn’t take any of the rides but shared the fun. A lot of my EDM colleagues did go to the rides but complained of headaches (riding while hung over is not a good idea).

The Next Generation ADE 2012 Talk Panel | This was a cool talk panel that featured four very young and successful EDM artists – Boaz vd Beatz (Nouveau Riche, NL), Dyro (NL), Halp (NL) and Jameszoo (NL). Also present (besides the moderator) was Bjorn Schippers (Bousie Advocaten, NL), who is a well-known marketing and copyrights specialist in the Netherlands. These fellows are all in their early 20s and enjoy great success – bot because they are lucky but because they are good wat what they do. I will publish a video of this cool panel shortly – check for updates!

Q&A With Laidback Luke | This was one of the coolest events during ADE 2012. Laidback Luke spoke about his life, about his fans, about his students (e.g. Avicii, Afrojack), and about his career. A very friendly and outspoken fellow, he is a true workaholic and tours 300 days a year. Luke also said hello to my fellow Texans (because I asked him in a short personal interview) – video coming online shortly!

Unraveling Mastering Myths | This was an awesome discussion with Gregor Zemljic, a producer and a talented audio engineer, who shared his secrets of properly mastering Electronic Dance Music tracks. A have an amazing video of this presentation, that is going online shortly (watch for it in the next 7 days).
